KUALA LUMPUR: Kawasaki has introduced the industry standard traction control system on two of its latest motorcycles, the 2023 Ninja 650 and Z650.

Though it is an industry-standard feature, it is for the first time a Ninja and Z650 are getting a traction control system with ‘off’ mode. Not to forget, the two motorcycles now come with LED lighting all around.

Let’s get to know the Kawasaki introduced traction control system in detail -

On the mechanical front, both Kawasaki’s continue to source power from a 649 cc parallel-twin mill generating a maximum power output of 67 hp along with a peak torque of 65 Nm. The drive is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox and chain final drive to the rear wheels.

Assuring a smooth ride all along is the two motorcycles' suspension setup that includes a non-adjustable 41 mm telescopic front fork and a horizontal back-link shock at the rear. Braking is taken care of by a twin 330 mm diameter front disc clamped by two-piston callipers and a 220 mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear. As the standard fit is available two-channel ABS.
